Wooden PS3 rubs shoulders with a 360

It appears the only PS3 Sony have is a wooden facsimile. Nevertheless, the unseemly piece of tree makes for a good size comparison to the Xbox 360 and should aid you in conjuring up fantasies of the system residing in your living room.

Harvest Moon Wii Details Sprout Up

A recent Famitsu issue revealed details about Harvest Moon Wii. Specifically, the use of the Wiimote and some information on the story were explained.
Harvest Moon Wii will make use of the motion-sensing Wiimote for many farming chores. To till the soil, swing the Wiimote like a hoe. To water plants, tilt it downwards, as if holding a watering can. Pressing left or right on the D-pad cycles through the various tools, most of which will probably be used in similar ways. Pressing down disables all tools. The A button will be a general action button for such things as speaking to people and opening doors.

Editor of the Official PlayStation Magazine getting a Xbox 360 in November.

The Managing Editor of the "Official" PlayStation Magazine, Dana Jongewaard writes in her blog that she is getting an Xbox 360 this November instead of a PS3. Electronic Arts' Strategy Shift: More Original Video Games

Electronic Arts has been a trend setter in licensing big entertainment properties for video games. But now it is backing off on the strategy that it pioneered of using high-profile movie licenses as the marketing hook for its video games.

The strategy shift, announced earlier this year, will take years to unfold. But it shows that Redwood City-based EA doesn't mind running against the grain as it takes to heart criticism from gamers that they're tired of playing games with franchise characters that have become too boring. In fact, other major players are spending a lot of money on licenses and alliances with Hollywood companies just as EA tries to grow its own "original intellectual property,'' or games based on characters or stories that its own developers have created.
